Private storage, no public URL
Every file you upload is stored in private Vercel Blob storage with a unique access key. There is no public URL for your documents. Only your authenticated account can retrieve them. Each file gets a SHA-256 fingerprint when you upload it, which shows whether the file has changed since.
AI processes it — never learns from it
When you process a document, it is sent to Anthropic's Claude API, in the US only. Anthropic does not train its models on data sent through its commercial API, and deletes it within 30 days. Vera never uses your case content to train AI either.
A short, named list of services
Your documents and case file are stored and processed by Vercel (hosting and file storage), Neon (database) and Anthropic (AI), with recordings transcribed by AssemblyAI — all in the US. Sign-in (Clerk), payments (Stripe) and email (Resend) handle only what they need. No advertising networks or data brokers. Every provider is listed in our Privacy Policy.
You can delete everything
Delete a document or a case at any time, or your entire account from the Account page. Files and case data are removed from Vera immediately. Our Privacy Policy lists exactly what remains with providers, and for how long (at most 30 days for your content).

Is this legal advice?
No. Vera is a case management and organization tool. It helps you organize documents and understand your case file. It does not provide legal advice and does not create an attorney-client relationship. Always consult an attorney before making legal decisions.
What types of cases does Vera support?
Vera is for cases in US state courts: divorce, custody, landlord and tenant disputes, evictions, small claims, employment and consumer matters. Court forms, deadlines and rules cover the United States only. The document reading and organizing work for any civil matter.
Can I use this alongside an attorney?
Yes. You can export your case file for an attorney. A clear timeline and evidence log gives them the picture of your case quickly.
What file types can I upload?
PDFs, Word documents, images (JPG, PNG, HEIC), emails, audio recordings (MP3, M4A, WAV), video files, Excel spreadsheets, and plain text files. Vera transcribes audio and video automatically — speakers labelled, times marked — in the US, and deletes the recording from the transcription service as soon as the transcript is saved.
How is my data protected?
Files are stored encrypted in private Vercel Blob storage — no public URL exists for your documents.
